Renewable energy is integral to the Government’s strategy to deliver Ireland’s existing national climate change targets and sustainability objectives.
Farmers and landowners have a key role to play in helping to achieve these targets due to the natural resources at their disposal, including crops, wood, waterways and land. In addition, large numbers of farmers, landowners and rural business owners are investing in renewable energy schemes in order to diversify their businesses, increase their income, offset their heating and/or power bills, as well as reduce their environmental impact.
Following the continued success of Energy Now Expo in the UK, the Energy Now Expo Ireland aims to showcase the renewable energy opportunities available to the agricultural and rural communities, providing practical guidance and a chance to gain further technical knowledge on the options available in Wind, Biomass, Biofuels, Hydro, Solar, AD & Biogas, Ground Source Heating, Energy Efficiency
The Energy Now Expo Ireland will be held over two days on the 25 and 26 October. At the Hub, Cillin Hill Centre, Kilkenny on Ireland’s first agribusiness retail park and home to the renowned Kilkenny Co-Operative Livestock Market.
